Three persons including two women injured in Imphal blast

Guwahati, Jul 30(IBNS): At least three persons including two women were injured in a blast in Manipur’s Imphal on Tuesday evening.

According to the reports, a Chinese hand grenade exploded at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai near the Royal Enfield servicing centre under Lamphel police station in Imphal West district around 7 pm.

Three persons including two women were injured in the blast.

The injured persons were identified as 60-year-old Y. Manihar, 38-year-old M. Surbala Devi and 34-year-old N. Bidimala.

The injured people, who hailed from Hijam Dewan Leikai area, were rushed to the nearby Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal.

Following the incident, the area was cordoned off by security personnel.

No organization has claimed responsibility for the blast.
