Three minor girls of a family die in massive fire in Guwahati

Guwahati, May 8 (IBNS): At least three minor girls of a family died and their mother sustained burn injuries while a major fire broke out at their house in Assam’s capital city Guwahati on Sunday night, officials said.

According to the reports, a major fire has been broke out at the house of Aziz Ali at Datalpara area in the city last night.

In the fire incident a minor girl died on spot while three others including her mother seriously injured.

The injured persons had immediately rushed to a private hospital where two minor girls were succumbed their injuries.

Their mother identified as Afruza Khatun suffered 80 percent burn injuries is under treatment.

The children’s father Aziz Ali said that, the fire has been placed around 11 pm when the family was asleep.

“When I was in toilet, the fire broke out and trying to rescue my three daughters and wife, but failed,” Aziz told to police.

Meanwhile, police has started investigation into the fire incident.
