The gory incident took place at Pokhrama village under Kajara police station in Lakhisarai district.

Police have recovered the bullet-riddled bodies of RamshekharSingh (65), Jhalo Singh (40) and his nephew Ripu Singh from different places in the village.

Senior police officials are camping in the area  and raids are on to nab the assailants.

“We are conducting raids to nab the absconding accused persons,” the local district superintendent of police Arvind Thakur told the media.

This is the first major incident of killing after the NDA Government led by Nitish Kumar came to power in Bihar last week. The JD-U and BJP are the partners in the NDA government.
