Three joggers mowed down in Assam’s Darrang district

Guwahati/IBNS: At least three joggers including two women were killed when an unidentified vehicle hit them in Assam’s Darrang district on Thursday morning.

According to the reports, the incident took place at Chapai along Mangaldoi-Bhutiachang road in Darrang district.

Locals said that, an unidentified vehicle mowed down the persons while they went for morning walk.

The victims were identified as 56-year-old Suren Saharia, 52-year-old Kiran Sarma and 50-year-old Manjula Nath.

“The victims were in regular morning walk at the area. An unidentified speeding vehicle hit from behind and fled from the area,” a local resident said.
