New Delhi, Mar 9 (IBNS): Indian Defence Ministry on Saturday denied reports that terrorists have kidnapped a soldier from Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The Ministry said the soldier was safe.

"Clarification. Media reports of the abduction of a serving Army soldier on leave from Qazipora, Chadoora, Budgam are incorrect. Individual is safe. Speculations may please be avoided. @PMOIndia @nsitharaman @DefenceMinIndia @PIB_India @adgpi," Defence Spokesperson tweeted.

Earlier, media reports emerged that the soldier was kidnapped from his home at Qazipora Chadoora in Jammu and Kashmir.
