Srinagar, Apr 27 (IBNS): Three Armymen including a 25-year-old captain, died on Thursday in a suicide attack by terrorists in an army camp at Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara as India mourned the martyrdom of its bravehearts in yet another deadly attack since Uri.

Seven other soldiers were also wounded in the strike.

As the day progressed, local people resorted to protest by throwing stones at security personnel as they demanded the bodies of the terrorists.

The police had to open fire to disperse off the crowd. A 70-year-old civilian died in the police firing.

The martyrs include Captain Ayush Yadav, 25, Junior Commissioned Officer Bhoop Singh Gujjar Dusaa, 46, and Naik Venkat Raman, 38 of the artillery brigade.

In Kanpur home of the slain captain, there was mourning as the father of the soldier questioned how many would lay their lives like this.

"He had last come for his sister's marriage in Feb. I used to tell him we will get him married soon," said the father of the martyred captain even as his mother was breaking down.

"He would ask me not to worry as I would be concerned over he stone pelting in Kashmir," said Arun Kant Yadav speaking to media fighting his tears.

The terrorists sneaked into the army camp on Thursday morning at 4:30 am.

The gun battle existed for around four hours in which two terrorists were shot dead.

Three AK-47 rifles were recovered from the dead terrorists' possession.

According to reports, the army believe that another injured terrorist is on flee.

According to reports, the terrorists crossed a double fence surrounding the camp, which is about 10 km away from the Line of Control.

The terrorists entered  that camp from the back.

Last year in September, terrorists, believed to belong from Pakistan, had attacked an army camp in Uri leaving 19 soldiers dead.

In January last year, a group of Pakistani terrorists had attacked an Air Force base in Pathankot killing six security personnel.
