| @indiablooms | Mar 18, 2024, at 06:40 pm

Hyderabad/UNI: Telangana Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan tendered her resignation here on Monday with immediate effect.

The resignation has been submitted to President Droupadi Murmu, a press communiqué from Raj Bhavan said here.

However, the reasons for her resignation are not known.

According to sources, she is likely to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls from Central Chennai (Tamil Nadu) or Puducherry as a BJP candidate.

Interestingly, Dr. Tamilisai's resignation comes shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stay at Raj Bhavan during his 3-day poll campaign in Telangana on March 15.
