Hyderabad/UNI: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed officials of the Irrigation department to furnish comprehensive details about the sunken Medigadda barrage.

During a review held at his residence on Sunday, the Chief Minister queried Irrigation officials about the current condition of the state's irrigation sector.

Revanth Reddy mandated that officials provide complete information regarding the expenses incurred in the construction of new irrigation projects during the previous state government's tenure, an official statement said late night on Sunday.

The meeting delved into the arguments to be presented before the Krishna Tribunal on water disputes with other states, along with discussing measures to preemptively address potential issues.

Officials were advised to take necessary steps to ensure adequate irrigation facilities during the Yasangi season, with the Chief Minister offering several suggestions on water availability and related matters.

Emphasizing a swift resolution to inter-state water disputes, Revanth Reddy directed officials to promptly provide full details on the meeting's discussions and topics.

Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy, ENC (Engineer in Chief) Muralidhar, and other irrigation officials participated in this review meeting.
