Telangana assembly elections: Jagan Reddy's sister YS Sharmila Reddy offers support to Congress

| @indiablooms | Nov 03, 2023, at 07:19 pm

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy's younger sister and YSR Telangana Party chief, YS Sharmila Reddy, has offered support to Congress in the upcoming Telangana assembly elections, media reports said.

Sharmila, who will not contest the elections this time, said she extended support to Congress to avoid a split of votes.

Sharmila met Congress top leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi last month.

She had warned Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao of defeat in the upcoming polls.

Telangana will go to polls on November 30 and the results will be declared on December 3.
