Kolkata, Sep 3 (IBNS): Passengers across Kolkata faced troubles on Wednesday due to taxi strike, called by taxi unions, under the leadership of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) and the All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC).
Few taxis were seen at the taxi stands of Howrah station, Sealdah station and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport.

Taxi drivers demonstrated at many places in the city from 12pm to 12:30pm.

They gathered at Esplanade area and took part in a silent procession towards Collage Square.

The CITU and the AITUC leaderships were present at the procession.

At the end of the peaceful procession, they told if their demands were not filled then they would go for a bigger movement.
