Tamil Nadu: Teacher arrested, stripped of duty for burning students with camphor
Chennai, Jun 11 (IBNS): A female teacher was arrested and stripped from her duty after she allegedly placed burning camphor on the feet of 15 students, burning them, for poor academic results, reports said.
Police arrested Vaijayanthimala under Juvenile Justice Act.
NDTV quoted Villapuram DSP Narendar Kumar as saying, "We have arrested her under the Juvenile Justice Act."
She has been placed under judicial custody till Jun 24.
