Chennai, July 27 (IBNS): Tamil Nadu ministers and actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan visited ailing former Chief Minister and DMK chief M. Karunanidhi on Thursday, media reports said.

Karunanidhi, 94, is suffering from fever due to urinary tract infection with intravenous antibiotics and fluids.

He is being treated at his Gopalapuram residence by a team of doctors.

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Paneerselvam was among the ministers who visited the DMK chief's house.

Karunanidhi was the third Chief Minister of the state. He assumed the post five times in his political career.

The DMK is now run by Karunanidhi's third son MK Stalin.
