Tamil Nadu governor reaches Chennai's Apollo Hospital as Jayalalithaa's condition turns grim
The hospital in a release said that the chief minister 'remains in grave situation despite best efforts', media reported.
68-year old Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital on Sep 22 following complaints of fever and dehydration.
Later the doctors put her on ventilator and treated her for lung congestion and infection.
After being attended by a team of specialist doctors, she was shifted to a personalised room on Nov 19.
However, she suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday evening and continued to be in a critical stage, the hospital said in a release on Monday.
