Swaraj conforms the kidnapping of Indian priest by ISIS

New Delhi, Mar 26 (IBNS) Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday confirmed the kidnapping of Indian priest in Yemen by Islamic jihadist group ISIS.

Swaraj tweeted: "Fr Tom Uzhunnallil - an Indian national from Kerala was abducted by a terror group in Yemen."

Earlier it was reported in the media that an Indian priest was abducted in Yemen by ISIS. The group threatened to crucify the priest on Good Friday.

Swaraj however said that the Indian government is making efforts for his release.

"We r making all efforts to secure his release," she wrote.
