Kolkata/UNI: Mocking at the meeting of a host of parties opposed to the BJP in Bengaluru, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday alleged that the opportunistic coalition has ignored the dead bodies of the workers, who laid down their lives in order to resist the tyranny of the ruling party of Bengal during Panchayat election.

"Opportunistic Coalition ignoring the dead bodies of the workers who laid down their lives in order to resist the tyranny of the Ruling Party of Bengal during Panchayat Elections," Adhikari, the Leader of the Opposition in West Bengal Assembly, tweeted.

Questioning what reasons these leaders would provide them in order to pacify them, Adhikari said, "Many injured workers are still receiving treatment in hospitals. "

Stating that he felt pity for the Congress and CPI(M) workers, Adhikari said, " Their leaders have backstabbed them."

Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress iterated that the 26 Opposition parties are all united in their fight against the BJP with eyes set on the 2024 general election.

"Together, we will prevail," tweeted the party.
