Guwahati: Suspected militants of NSCN-KYA abducted three workers in Arunachal Pradesh’s Longding district.

A Defence official based in Nagaland said suspected NSCN-KYA militants abducted three workers from Pumao area in Longding district along Indo-Myanmar border on Jan 31 night.

Later, the militants had released one of them, but two workers are still in their captive.

“The workers were engaged in a road construction work at Pumao area. The militants first took them at Nyasa village in Nagaland and released one of three,” the official said.

Meanwhile, the Assam Rifles have launched an operation with the help of local police to rescue the abducted persons.
