Sushma Swaraj meets Kyrgyzstan counterpart Erlan Abdyldaev in Beijing

Beijing, Apr 23 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has met her Kyrgyzstan counterpart Erlan Abdyldaev in Beijing.

The two leaders met at the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit.

Officials said the two leaders discussed on cooperation in different sectors including trade, investment, IT, defence, films, HRD and culture.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted: "Connecting with an extended neighbour & a close friend! EAM @SushmaSwaraj & Kyrgyzstan Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev met on sidelines of #SCO Foreign Ministers Meeting in Beijing. Discussed cooperation in trade & investment, IT, defence, films, HRD, culture & other areas."

Sushma is currently in China to attend the Summit.

She met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday.
