Guwahati, June 13 (IBNS): In view of the incessant rain lashing the capital city of Assam since morning causing artificial flood in several parts, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday directed Kamrup metro district administration and Guwahati Development Department (GDD) to be on their toes to meet any exigencies.

The Assam CM also asked both district administration and GDD to be ready with relief materials and reach out to the affected people in case of any urgency.

Sonowal instructed all concerned officials to visit the affected areas and take stock of the situation and extend all possible help to the affected people.
