Sonia files nomination from Rae Bareli

Rae Bareli, UP, Apr 2 (IBNS) Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday filed her nomination for the Lok Sabha polls from Rae Bareli constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
"The people of Rae Bareli loved me and owned me and I hope to win again from here," Sonia Gandhi said after filing her nomination.
 
Her main challenger from the constituency is Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ajay Agarwal.

Sonia Gandhi earlier won two consecutive polls in the 2004 and 2009 from the seat. 

Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had also won from the seat in the elections. 

Sonia Gandhi during her visit will also go to Takia village where head of Muslim Personal Law Board Ali Miyan was born, said reports.
