Smriti Irani denies charges that she did not help Expressway mishap's victim
New Delhi, Mar 7 (IBNS): Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani's office on Monday denied allegations that she did not help the doctor, who was killed during an accident on the Yamuna Expressway, reports said.
She has also rejected the charge that the car which hit the doctor's bike was a part of her convoy.
Meanwhile, the daughter of a doctor has alleged that Irani denied helping them.
The doctor has been identified as Ramesh Nagar.
Sandili Nagar told media: "We had asked for help from her but she denied it."
"If she wanted, she could have helped us. If she had helped us that time then my father would have been there with us," she said.
She said the car, which belonged to the Minister's convoy, hit the bike they were traveling.
However, police have denied it and said the Minister was not involved in the matter.
An FIR has been filed in connection with the case, reports said.
Irani had earlier tweeted on Saturday when the mishap occurred: "Tried to help the injured who were lying on the road for quiet sometime and ensured they reach a hospital. Pray for their safety."
She was returning to Delhi when the mishap occurred on Yamua Expressway.
