Singer Akriti Kakkar, Big FM puts up musical show for soldiers at Siachen
Udhampur, Aug 13 (IBNS): The stark and forbidding mountains of Siachen came alive with the melodious strains of music and mirth when the famous singer Akriti Kakkar along with the team of 92.7 Big FM putting up a scintillating show in the Siachen area for the jawans of the Indian Army.
This show was organised by 92.7 Big FM and will be broadcast nationwide on August 14 and 15 as “Ek Khas Mulakaat, Sarhad ke Heroes ke Saath”
The ‘Saturday Saturday girl’ Akriti Kakkar and her team treated the soldiers to a razz matazz of patriotic and other popular numbers. The show was an interactive one in which the soldiers too participated with gusto, with some them giving out songs and poems.

The highlight of the events was a touching song composed by Rifleman Sher Singh of Rajputana Rifles during his stint at a forward post, which he also sang during the show and which moved all present.
The jawans had a gala time with RJs of 92.7 Big FM who shared many lighter moments with them on stage.

The RJs from Chennai, Shruti and Bulaji, were especially popular with the South Indian troops who were elated at having had a glimpse of their region at this Northernmost frontier of the Nation.
“From Kashmir to Kannyakumari, India is truly one” was what a jawan instinctively spoke out aloud, moved by this vivid display of intermingling of cultures.
