Siddaramaiah takes dig at Yogi Adityanath over BJP's by-poll defeat in UP
Bengaluru, Mar 15 (IBNS): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has taken a dig at his Uttar Pradesh counterpart, Yogi Adityanath, after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed to win by-polls in two Lok Sabha seats, which were earlier under the saffron party, in the state.
Siddaramaiah, in a sarcastic tone, advised Adityanath to spend less time in Karnataka as the UP CM was recently seen taking a lead in several BJP's rallies.
The Karnataka CM also did not miss the opportunity to congratulate Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati for defeating BJP in Gorakhpur and Phulpur constituencies by forming an alliance.
Siddaramaiah's tweet reads, "BJP has suffered humiliating loss in the Lok Sabha seats held by the CM & DyCM of UP. Congratulations to SP & BSP for this historic victory. Unity among the non-BJP parties has played a key role. Perhaps Yogi Adityanath should spend less time lecturing Karnataka on development."

Perhaps Yogi Adityanath should spend less time lecturing Karnataka on development.
The state election in Karnataka is scheduled to be held in two-months time from now.
Both Gorakhpur and Phulpur seats were the bastions of CM Aditayanth and deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya.
Both the seat fell vacant after Adityanath and Maurya resigned to assume their respective offices in 2017.
In 2017 state election, the BJP had registered a landslide victory by winning 325 in a 403-member Assembly.
