"Shiv Sena to sit in opposition in Maharashtra if BJP takes NCP's support"

| | Nov 10, 2014, at 01:19 am
Mumbai, Nov 9 (IBNS) The Shiv Sena on Sunday said it will sit in the opposition in case the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra takes the support of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Addressing a press conference, Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said: "The Shiv Sena will sit in opposition benches in Maharashtra in case the BJP accepts #NCP support."

BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis was sworn-in last month as Maharashtra’s new Chief Minister.

The BJP contested alone in recently concluded Maharashtra Assembly polls after ending its 25-year alliance with the Shiv Sena last month over a seat-sharing disagreement.
