Shaktipunj Express derails in Uttar Pradesh, no casualty

Lucknow, Sept 7 (IBNS): Seven coaches of Howrah-Jabalpur-Shaktipunj Express derailed in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, media reports said.

No casualty or injury has been reported so far.

The mishap reportedly occurred  close to the Obara Railway Station in Sonbhadra district of the state.

The train was on its way to Jabalpur from Howrah when the mishap occurred.

Several train mishap incidents have been reported from Uttar Pradesh in recent times.

More than 20 people were killed when 13 coaches of the Utkal Express jumped the rails in Uttar Pradesh on Aug 19.

The mishap had left 150 others injured.

Days after the mishap, at least 100 people were injured after several compartments of the Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Kexpress derailed in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh.
