Sexagenarian arrested, sent to jail for raping a married woman

Kendrapara/UNI: Police today arrested a sexagenarian on the charge of raping a married woman under Rajnagar police station.

Rajanagar police station  IIC Tapan Kumar Nayak, identified the oldman as Chakradhar Behera(65) of Charadia village under Rajnagar police station.


As per the Police the accused   raped the woman  on  Tuesday while she was alone in her home.


Rajnagar police registered a case under Section 376(ii)(h),450 IPC and arrested the accused last night after the woman lodged a complainant.


Rajnagar police later sent both the accused and the victim for medical examination.


The accused was produced before the JMFC court Rajnagar today. The court  remanded him  into jail custody, after rejecting  his bail, said Mr Nayak.
