Separatists don't believe in Insaniyat, but Kashmir was and will be part of India : Rajnath Singh
"There are no two ways about the fact that J & K is a part of India, was a part of India and will be a part of India," he said while addressing the media in Srinagar.
Singh expressed displeasure with the role of Hurriyat leaders, saying them not wanting to engage in a dialogue indicated they weren’t interested in resolving the issue.
“The behaviour of Hurriyat leaders with delegation members is neither ‘insaniyat nor Kashmiriyat or jamuriyat...We are open to anyone who wants to sit and discuss the issue within the framework of the constitution, " he said.
The Home Minister is leading a all-party delegation consisting of 26 Parliamentarians on a three-day visit to Kashmir to hold dialogues with all stakeholders and find out a solution to the continuing unrest.
He said the delegation met with more than 300 people and it is of the view that "things in Kashmir need to improve."
"We are fully cooperating with the state Government to restore normalcy," Singh said.
On the use of pellet guns by para-military forces, the Home Minister said said the government has asked for an alternative- PAVA shells- which will be used within a period of two months.
