Seems Rahul Gandhi happy over China's move at UNSC: Ravi Shankar Prasad
New Delhi, Mar 14 (IBNS): Hitting out at Rahul Gandhi for mocking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's diplomacy with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Thursday said the Congress president seems to be happy at China's move to block the proposal of designating Pakistan-based militant organisation chief Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Masood Azhar as a global terrorist at the UN Security Council (UNSC).
Addressing a press conference in the national capital, Prasad said: "Will Congress speak in a different tune over Masood Azhar case? Rahul Gandhi's tweet shows he seems to be happy. Why Rahul is happy at India's sadness?"
The proposal to blacklist Azhar was moved by France, the UK and the US on Feb 27 on the heels of the Pulwama terror attack in Kashmir that killed at least 40 Indian paramilitary personnel. Jaish has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The JeM had claimed the Pulwama attack.
Gandhi seized the opportunity in the election season to make an attempt to prove Modi's diplomacy as futile.

India disappointed:
"We are disappointed by this outcome. This has prevented action by the international community to designate the leader of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), aproscribed and active terrorist organization which has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on 14 February 2019," India said.
India said it was grateful for the efforts of the Member States who moved the designation proposal and the unprecedented number of all other Security Council members as well as non-members who joined as co-sponsors.
"We will continue to pursue all available avenues to ensure that terrorist leaders who are involved in heinous attacks on our citizens are brought to justice," India said.
China blocked earlier too:
China has blocked such move thrice in the past. This is the fourth time that China blocked the move to blacklist Azhar.
