Security forces fire in air after noticing suspicious movement in Shopian, J&K

Srinagar, Mar 20 (UNI): Security forces on Wednesday opened fire after noticing suspicious movement in south Kashmir district of Shopian, where a search operation has been launched.

Official sources said the security force personnel, who were on patrolling this evening, fired several shots in the air after noticing suspicious movement in village Heff Shirmal in Shopian.

They said the patrolling party was passing through a large farmland when the incident occurred.

“Additional security forces were rushed and a search operation has been launched in the area,” an official said.
