Kolkata, Jul 10 (IBNS): Actress-turned-Trinamool Congress (TMC) Lok Sabha MP Satabdi Roy was interrogated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday in her Kolkata residence in connection with Saradha chit fund scam, officials said.

According to reports, a CBI team quizzed Satabdi Roy at her place in Salt Lake area for more than two hours.

A CBI source claimed that Satabdi Roy's statement was recorded.

Earlier, the TMC MP from Birbhum Lok Sabha constituency was grilled by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the same case.

On Nov 23, 2013, police arrested the CEO of Saradha Group's media wing and suspended TMC MP, Kunal Ghosh, for his alleged role in the chit fund scam.

The CBI took Ghosh in their custody later on Sept 6, 2014.
