Salt rumours trigger panic in UP
Moradabad, Nov 12 (IBNS): Panic gripped over rumours on salt storage as people rushed to shop to buy the everyday needed food commodity in parts of Uttar Pradesh on Friday, media reports.
According to reports, salt was even sold at Rs. 200 per kilogram at retail shops in state's Moradabad area.
People reportedly rushed to shops to buy salt.
Chaos was seen in front of stores as buyers attempted to buy a packet.
The UP government has denied reports there were any shortage of salt in the state.
