New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken have held talks when they discussed numerous matters including the Indo-Pacific issue.

The two also exchanged New Year greetings.

"A broad ranging conversation yesterday night with @SecBlinken," S Jaishankar tweeted.

"Covered current bilateral issues, Indo-Pacific and pressing global matters. Also exchanged New Year greetings," he said.

The US Secretary of State had last spoken to EAM Jaishankar in December to convey condolences on the death of Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife and other army officials, in a chopper crash.
