Russia, India discuss bilateral ties in the light of common approaches to international issues

Moscow/IBNS : Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov here on Wednesday and discussed a wide range of issues in relation to the Russian-Indian interactions, including the schedule of the upcoming political contacts.

During the meeting, both sides expressed their intention to strengthen the "Russian-Indian Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership" in every possible way.

The two sides agreed to tighten coordination of stances on pressing international and regional issues, including in the frameworks of the multilateral formats with the participation of Russia and India.

Russia and India also noted the similarity of approaches of the two countries to the pressing global and regional issues.

They also stressed the intention of the two countries to continue coordination of efforts at international and regional platforms, including the UN, G20, BRICS, SCO, RIC and EAEU.
