Rose Valley: Tapas Pal's CBI custody extended by 3 days

Bhubaneswar, Jan 3 (IBNS): A local court in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday extended arrested actor-turned-Trinamool Congress (TMC) Lok Sabha MP Tapas Pal's CBI custody by three days, reports said.

Earlier on Friday (Dec 30), Pal was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with his alleged links with ponzi firm Rose Valley.

As Pal's 3-day CBI custody term ended on Tuesday, he was produced in the court again and sent to the Central probe agency's custody for more three days.

Meanwhile, after hour-long interrogation, CBI on Tuesday booked TMC's Parliamentary leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay in connection with its ongoing probe into Rose Valley financial scam.

Bandyopadhyay, however, is being flown to Bhubaneswar and he will be produced in a local court there on Wednesday.

According to CBI sources, two MPs of TMC will be interrogated together in Bhubaneswar soon.
