New Delhi, Apr 11 (IBNS) Unidentified miscreants stabbed a metro official inside the national capital's Rajendra Nagar metro station premises on Monday morning and stole Rs 12 lakh, reports said.

The suspects, carrying knives, entered the metro station and targeted the control room where the ticketing counter is located.

The incident, which took place even before the first metro train services started, came as a blow to the security in the underground railway system.

While it is not clear whether the attack has been caught on camera, police is examining all CCTV cameras at the station to trace the suspects.
