Srinagar, Nov 6 (IBNS) To foil the “Solidarity March” of the separatists in Jammu and Kashmir to remember the "Jammu martyrs of 1947", strict restrictions have been imposed in many city areas of Srinagar on Friday here.

The imposition of restrictions  comes under police station Maisuma in uptown and Rainawari, Nowhatta, Maharaj Gunj, Safa Kadal and Khanyar police stations in downtown.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a Kashmiri separatist leader who is the chairman of the Awami Action Committee, one of the two key factions of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, has called a ‘Solidarity Day Convention’ at Srinagar Jamia Masjid to commemorate the anniversary of “Jammu martyrs of November 6, 1947”.

Mirwaiz has invited all the separatist leaders including Syed Ali Geelani to participate in the Convention.

Earlier on Thursday evening militants attacked a 82 battalion CRPF picket.

Five among eleven injured CRPF personnel sustained grievous injuries in the attack and are undergoing advanced treatment in various hospitals in Srinagar.
