| @indiablooms | Nov 09, 2019, at 06:57 pm

Pune/UNI: NCP supremo Sharad Pawar on Saturday said the Ayodhya judgement by the Supreme Court, an issue which was languishing before the judiciary since decades has taken into account the concerns of all feuding parties to the dispute and urged the countrymen to welcome and respect it.

In a tweet, Pawar has urged all sections of society to ensure peace and harmony after the decision.

Prominent SC lawyer Ashutosh Srivastava , in his reaction said this is not a loss or win for anyone, the apex court has cleared the way of construction of Ram temple at disputed side after examining hundred of witnesses and deeply studied the matter before announcing the judgment.

Srivastava said the same court has also directed the government to allot five acres plot to Sunni WAQF board for building a mosque. The judgment is clear indication that nobody is above the law and all are equal before it.

He further said, " India is a secular country and all faiths are to be given equal weightage, therefore, the SC took a long time to announce the final judgment and said Ayodhya is the place of Lord Ram's birth."

"The verdict of SC will further strengthen people's faith in judiciary system. Most of Punekars have welcomed the SC decision and said the verdict is good for both Hindus and Muslims," Srivastava added.
