New Delhi/IBNS: Former Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi has vacated his official residence just three days after his retirement, long before the one-month deadline.

According to an NDTV report, Justice Gogoi vacated 5 Krishna Menon Marg bungalow allotted to him. He is probably the only judge to move out in such a short period of time post his retirement.

Justice Gogoi retired days after delivering the judgment on Babri Masjid-Ram Janma Bhoomi title case, putting an end to the dispute which had been lingering for decades.

Justice SA Bobde has been appointed the new Chief Justice of India.
