Udaipur, Sep 18 (IBNS): The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Haryana police have nabbed the driver and close aide of rape-convict, self-styled Godman Ram Rahim Singh's adopted daughter Honeypreet Insan from Rajasthan's Udaipur, reports said.

The nabbed person, who has been identified as Pradeep Goyal, was arrested from CA Circle located at Sector 14 locality in Udaipur city, according to a Times of India report.

The SIT team have taken him to Haryana for questioning.

"The Haryana police last time had located Goyal's location near a mall in Udaipur. Location of Honeypreet was also traced near to the same mall," TOI quoted a police official as saying.

Police added that Goyal is the prime suspect in the mob violence case.

Angry mobs rampaged parts of Haryana after the verdict pronounced Ram Rahim guilty of raping two of his female followers and handed him a 20-year prison term.

"He had worked in tribal areas of Udaipur. He lured many tribal men and women into the Dera sect by offering them gifts. We have confirmed reports that Goyal sent two buses from Jhadol to Sirsa for violence," the official added.

Meanwhile, police said that Honeypreet, who is evading arrest, may well be in and around Rajasthan.
