Islamabad, Aug 3 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday reached Pakistan to attend the 7th SAARC meeting for home and interior ministers.

Singh is the first senior minister to visit the neighbouring nation since the Pathankot attack in January.

Before leaving for Pakistan, Singh tweeted: "Leaving for Islamabad to attend the SAARC HM Conference. This Conference provides a platform to discuss issues pertaining to security."

"Looking forward to underscore the imperative of meaningful cooperation within the region against terrorism and organised crime," he said.
