Kota: A 26-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself under the influence of alcohol in Nanta police area of Kota in Rajasthan on Tuesday.

Badal Kahar, a resident of Barda Basti, came to his house late last night in an inebriated state and asked his wife to cook.

When his wife went to the kitchen to cook, he committed suicide by hanging himself, police said.

There was no dispute in the house, but he was addicted to alcohol and had been threatening to kill himself many times earlier.

He was married only two years back, family members of the deceased said.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
