Rajasthan Government sacks 500 striking resident doctors

| | Jun 03, 2016, at 10:08 pm
Jaipur, June (IBNS) Going tough on the striking resident doctors, the Rajasthan government has decided to terminate the services of 500 of them, reports said.

The state government has also decided to post 1150 newly selected medical officers in the hospitals attached to medical college.

The move followed the deteriorating health services caused by the three-day long strike by resident doctors, who have been opposing the Medical Council of India directive to send their answer scripts for outside evaluation.

To cope with the situation, the health department has  sought help of private hospitals and medical universities.
