Jaipur/IBNS: Rajasthan on Tuesday night announced a 12-hour daily curfew, from 6 pm to 6 am, starting Friday, across all cities, in an attempt to curb the spike of the coronavirus.

The curfew will be in effect till the end of the month.

Other measures include the closure of markets by 5 pm daily and the complete shut down of all educational and coaching institutions.

Factories and bus stands will be exempted from this order.

Public functions and sporting events will not be allowed.

Weddings can have a maximum of 50 guests, as opposed to the earlier 100-guest cap, the order stated.

The state reported 6,200 fresh Covid cases on Tuesday, including 1,325 from capital Jaipur.
