Rahul needs bank account in Amethi: DM
According to a CNN IBN report, Rahul needs a bank account in Amethi as proof of his residence as per the rules of the Election Commission as notified in 2011.
Quoting the district magistrate, the channel reported that Rahul Gandhi did not have an identity proof and needs a bank account as proof. Rahul has to prove that he stays there occasionally.
Rahul Gandhi had won two terms from the seat but this time he faces challengers like Smriti Irani of BJP and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas.
