Rahul hugs Modi: Subramanian Swamy detests gesture, asks PM to go for a medical checkup

New Delhi, July 21 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentarian Subramanian Swamy took to Twitter on Saturday to openly detest Congress president Rahul Gandhi's gesture inside the Lok Sabha on Friday, where the latter was seen hugging Prime Minister Narendra Modi following a heated debate.

Taking a swipe at the Congress president, Swamy likened the gesture to Russian and North Korean officials, who use the embrace to 'stick a poised needle'.

Calling Rahul 'Buddhu' (idiot), he said: "Namo should not have allowed Buddhu to hug him. Russians and North Koreans use the embrace technique to stick a poised needle."

Swamy further took a swipe at Congress lawmaker Shashi Tharoor by suggesting the Prime Minister to go for a medical check up to 'see if he has any microscopic puncture like Sunanda had on her hand'.

Sunanda, the name mentioned in the aforementioned tweet, is of Tharoor's deceased wife.

Sunanda Pushkar, a late businesswoman, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a Delhi hotel in 2014.

After investigations, police have named Tharoor as a suspect in her death case.
