Rahul Gandhi to meet FTII protesting students today
Pune, July 31 (IBNS): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi reached Pune on Friday, to meet the students of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), who have been on strike over the appointment of television actor Gajendra Singh as their chairman.
They are protesting over the appointment of actor Gajendra Chauhan as the new chairman of the institution for over two month now.
The students of the prestigious institute have questioned the process of selecting Chauhan for the post who is also a member of the ruling BJP party.
Chauhan was well known for playing the role of "Yudhishthira" in the popular Indian TV serial Mahabharat.
