The Hyderabad Police on Tuesday questioned southern star Allu Arjun for four hours over the stampede incident at a cinema hall in the city during the premiere of his latest released movie 'Pushpa 2: The Rise' which left one woman dead earlier this month.

According to reports, the questioning took place in Chikkadpally police station.

The police summoned him for questioning, days after he was released on bail after being arrested in connection with the death of the woman in the stampede incident.

What happened during the questioning?

The inquiry was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ramesh and Circle Inspector Raju, sources told India Today TV.

Sources told the Indian news channel that Arjun was asked whether the theatre management had given him permission in advance to visit Sandhya Theatre, where the stampede occurred, for the premiere of his movie.

The actor was also asked if he or his public relations team had got police permission to visit the theatre and the number of bouncers he arranged for the visit, sources said.

What did the victim's husband say about the incident?

The husband of the woman who died in the stampede at the premiere said he does not blame Allu Arjun for the tragedy and is ready to withdraw the police case filed in the matter.

Bhaskar, whose son is still in a coma and was admitted to hospital, said the actor has been fully supporting his son's treatment.

His son, Shri Tej, is a fan of Allu Arjun and it was on his insistence that the family went to the premiere, Bhskar told NDTV in an exclusive interview on Monday.

Allu Arjun had grieved the woman's death and announced a monetary support of Rs. 25 lakh for the family.

Attack on Arjun's house

Meanwhile, tensions mounted on Sunday evening after a group of people, who claimed themselves to be students of Osmania University, barged into the house of southern star Allu Arjun in Hyderabad and damaged it.

They reportedly entered the house of the actor during the protest and demanded one crore as compensation to the family of the woman.

According to reports, Allu Arjun was not present in the residence when the attackers entered it.
