Punjab : Akali Dal leader and son arrested for assaulting nurse

Moga, Punjab, Sept 24 (IBNS) : The Punjab Police on Thursday arrested Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Paramjit Singh and his son for assaulting a nurse at a hospital in Moga.

Reportsd said a case was registered against Paramjit and his son for assaulting a pregnant nurse on Friday.

The father-son duo thrashed the nurse Ramandeep Kaur at Goyal Hospital when asked to wait outside.

They were at the hospital to get a relative discharged.

After being asked to wait, they got enraged and first abused the nurse and then assaulted her.

The incident went viral on net.

Both of them have been booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code.
