Puducherry : Stalking lover sets himself on fire, hugs girl

Puducherry, Aug 1 (IBNS) : A man in Puducherry set himself on fire and then forcibly hugged a girl after she repeatedly rejected his advances, media reports said.

While the 32-year-old man succumbed to his burn injuries on the spot, the girl  suffered 80 per cent burn injuries. She is  being treated in a hospital.

The incident happened on Saturday when she was alone at her house.

Reports said the 32-year-old man had been stalking the girl for the past one year.

He initially tried to set her on fire but when he failed in the attempt, he set himself ablaze and went and hugged the girl.
