Police said that a private travels bus was enroute to Visakhapatnam from Hyderabad.

The accident occurred when the bus hit a two-wheeler, killing the rider instantaneously, later dashed against an electric pole and overturned.

The motorcyclist, identified as a farmer, belonged to Khandavalli village.

The nearby villagers helped the bus passengers to come out from the bus.

Following the accident, vehicles got stranded up to 6 km on either side of the road on the busy Chennai-Kolkata highway.

Police regulated the traffic after removing the bus with cranes.
