President wishes people on eve of birthday of Guru Ravidas

New Delhi, Feb 21 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday greeted fellow-citizens on the eve of birthday of poet-sant Guru Ravidas.

In a message, the President said, “On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidasji, I convey greetings and good wishes to all my fellow countrymen."

"Guru Ravidasji was an embodiment of spiritual wisdom. He led a life of faith and devotion and dedicated himself to the service of humanity. May the teachings of Guru Ravidasji inspire us all to strive to remove social inequalities and work towards the progress of our nation and its people. Let us recall Guru Ravidasji’s ceaseless struggle for the establishment of a casteless society and derive inspiration from his life and teachings,” he said.
